 Dr. Dirk Bäder is a senior associate with ARROBA IP.

In addition to mechanics in general, Dirk's areas of expertise include automotive engineering, general mechanical engineering, cosmetics, coating technology, structural/civil engineering and software. Dirk supports his clients in patent and trademark application proceedings as well as in contentious proceedings. Due to his excellent technical education as well as his many years of experience in cutting-edge research in the automotive industry, including software development, Dirk excels particularly in handling technically highly complex cases. 

Dirk studied aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart. He wrote his student research project at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and his diploma thesis at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dirk completed his PhD at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in cooperation with a premium automobile manufacturer. 

After his PhD, Dirk was trained as a patent attorney in a renowned Stuttgart law firm. During his training, he worked in patent litigation at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court, among other places.  Dirk has been a Patent Attorney, European Trademark Attorney, Design Attorney since 2017 and a European Patent Attorney since 2018. 

Dirk is author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, including, among others, on simulation methods. He himself belongs to the circle of inventors with numerous inventions and is still active in top research in the premium automotive industry.
